Gawton Downhill Dig Days
Posted: January 07th 2010
The dig day scheduled for the 10th Jan has been cancelled because of the bad weather forecast for the day. The dig day scheduled for 31st Jan will currently still go ahead and Gawton DH will be shut for riding that day. Currently access to the Gawton DH car park is difficult and the car park itself is pretty much snow bound. Turning round is pretty difficult too! Attempting access to the Tavi Woodlands car park is not recommended (unless you have a 4WD and/or winter tyres!)

Woodland Riders
The Woodland Riders is a non-profit making Downhill only mountain bike club based near Tavistock in West Devon. The Club was originally formed in 2005
as a way to raise the money needed to pay the landowners the rent, which would allow us to legally ride in the area.
The money raised from the membership fees pays the rent on our two sites, covers the track maintenance costs and also pays for insurance and affiliation
with the British Cycling Federation. Any remaining funds are used to cover the cost of the construction of new tracks.
Both our riding areas are on private land which we lease from the Landowners, As a result you MUST BE A MEMBER to ride at either location.
You must be able to provide proof of Membership/day membership at all times when at Gawton or Tavi woods
